Warrington Market's New Year's Eve party is a Queen tribute, doors 6.30pm, £26.49 to £67.93, over-18s. No public fireworks; last buses go about 7.30pm.
Warrington does not stage a public New Year’s Eve fireworks display, and Warrington Borough Council has published nothing for 31 December 2026. What the town does have is a ticketed party at Warrington Market, a pantomime matinee, hotel and pub parties, and an early last bus. This page has what is confirmed so far and will be updated as venues publish.
The quick answer
- Warrington Market, Time Square: New Year’s Eve with Now I’m Here, a Queen tribute band, on Thursday 31 December. Doors 6.30pm, tickets £26.49 to £67.93, over-18s only.
- Aladdin at Parr Hall: a 1.30pm matinee on New Year’s Eve, and no evening show.
- Getting home: last year Warrington’s Own Buses ran until about 7.30pm on New Year’s Eve and no buses on New Year’s Day; trains finish early on 31 December and there is no late-night rail service outside London.
The market event is listed by the organiser on Eventbrite and by Warrington BID; the transport detail comes from Warrington’s Own Buses and National Rail. All checked on 25 September 2026.
Warrington Market: Queen tribute, doors 6.30pm
Warrington Market’s party is the only large public New Year’s Eve event in the town centre with details published. The market, which is run by the council, is hosting Now I’m Here, a Queen tribute fronted by Josh Henderson, on the market floor at Time Square. Doors open at 6.30pm on Thursday 31 December, tickets are £26.49 to £67.93, and it is 18 and over (Warrington BID listing; Eventbrite, organiser Warrington Market). The Eventbrite page gives the address as 2 Time Square, WA1 2AT, and opens with “the show must go on at Warrington Market for New Year’s Eve 2026 and you’re invited”.
The price range suggests a tiered ticket, with the dearer bands likely to include food or a table, but the organiser has not published what each tier includes. The market ran a similar ticketed party to see in 2026, so this is now a second year.
Pantomime: a New Year’s Eve matinee only
Aladdin, Parr Hall’s pantomime, runs from 30 December to 10 January. On New Year’s Eve there is a 1.30pm performance and no evening show, so the cast are done by teatime. Prices, the full schedule and the dark days are on our Warrington pantomime page.
Hotels and pubs
- The Park Royal, Stretton is selling a New Year’s Eve “family celebration”: a dinner, then dancing “right through midnight and beyond”, with the detail in its festive brochure, plus two-night spa breaks that include the party (Park Royal New Year parties). Prices are not on the page.
- The Barley Mow, the timbered pub on Old Market Place, is taking bookings for New Year’s Eve with live sport on the screens and “a countdown to midnight”; it is a book-a-table pub night rather than a ticketed event (Barley Mow New Year’s Eve).
Other bars and restaurants in the town centre, Stockton Heath and Lymm will publish their own nights through November; we will add the ones that put a price and a time on their own websites.
No fireworks
There is no council or BID fireworks display for New Year’s Eve in Warrington, and none has been announced for 2026. The town’s organised fireworks are on Bonfire Night weekend, 6 to 8 November: see our Warrington fireworks page. Lymm’s Dickensian Day and the Christmas lights are in December and November respectively.
Getting home on the night
Buses. Warrington’s Own Buses has not yet published its 2026/27 festive timetable. Its page still shows last year’s: an amended Saturday service on 29 to 31 December “with buses running until around 1930 on 31st”, no service on New Year’s Day, an amended Saturday service on 2 January and normal service from the 3rd (Warrington’s Own Buses). If that repeats, the last bus home leaves before the market party has warmed up, so plan a taxi or a lift.
Trains. National Rail says that on Thursday 31 December “train services on some routes will finish earlier than normal”, and its special after-midnight services on 1 January are London-area only (National Rail Christmas and New Year 2026/27). Avanti West Coast said last year that its trains would finish earlier on New Year’s Eve and start later on New Year’s Day. The full festive picture for Bank Quay and Central is on our Warrington Christmas train times page.
Parking. The council has published no New Year’s Eve parking concession. Normal town centre charges, and where evening parking is free, are on our parking in Warrington page.
The day after
New Year’s Day is a Friday and a bank holiday. Friday bin rounds are collected on Saturday 2 January instead, the only round that moves in New Year week (Christmas bin collections). The three recycling centres are closed on 1 January and open again on the 2nd (tip opening times).
Still to be confirmed
What the market’s ticket tiers include; any New Year’s Eve events at Golden Square, Parr Hall or the Pyramid; Warrington’s Own Buses’ actual last-bus times for 31 December; and any pub or restaurant nights with published prices. We will check again in mid-November and in the second week of December.
